ABOUT ME
Varun Chopra (He/him) is an India & US based filmmaker. He is Sundance Institute's Ignite Fellow and 2021 Film Independent Screenwriting lab fellow.
Born and raised in New Delhi, Varun graduated from LMU School of Film and Television in Los Angeles where he was the recipient of the coveted SFTV Dean’s Scholarship.
His work has screened across the globe and released by platforms like PBS, Vimeo Staff picks, Aeon, Nowness among others.
Varun is a Young Directors Award recipient and has directed an array of projects across East Africa, Asia and North America. He has created content for brands like National Geographic, Condé Nast, Fox Life among others.
Currently, he’s finishing a new short for Participant Media and taking on fun editing and design assignments.
